Holy. Crap. Ya'll. I started this book yesterday afternoon at work because my hard drive died and I didn't have a book with me. Luckily a coworker loaned me this to keep me busy for the next 8 hours. At first it was slow. Not bad slow, just a lot of characters slow. But by the last 200 pages I couldn't read it fast enough! This is the second book I've read by Liane Moriarty, and I've loved both of them. Her books are just so engaging and hard to put down. Big Little Lies was a great book for me to read right now. I would probably consider it fluff writing, but sometimes when you have a lot of other things going on in life, it's nice to have something to read that you don't really have to think too much about.

Great yarn of a book; one can see the ending & twists a mile away but the descriptions of domestic violence and how invisible it can be, not only to those who care but also the general public, are what make this book a strongly recommended read. I devoured this book in a day and a half after starting it with not a lot of expectations; I couldn't put it down.

Having recently binged the HBO series, I had been wanting to read the novel. I was happy that the series stayed pretty true to the source material.
