What Members Thought
Four red stars which is high praise for a first-of-series cozy mystery. It's humorous in that subtle British way, and convoluted enough to keep you guessing. Perhaps a bit too many threads, but I didn't care - it was a fun ride. It got off to a slow start, and there are a lot of characters to keep track of. This was a light, fairly fun read, but on reflection, there were too many plot holes. I wasn't at all convinced that certain characters would/could behave the way they did or that other certain characters would know/not know certain information. Rounding down from 3.5 stars.

This is just my cup of tea. So why didn't I like it? Why am I rethinking the second installment?
WAY too many characters. Too much jumping around. And there came a point where the adorable old people weren't adorable anymore. The cuteness took up too much time when all I wanted to do was know who dunnit -- and that was a disappointment -- and get it over with. ...more
