What Members Thought
I thought I would like this book more than I did. The premise is interesting and the writing flowed pretty well, I just didn’t like the main character. She did a lot of complaining rather than making the best of whatever situation she was in. I didn’t find Luc to be as evil as Addie complained he was. She constantly blamed him for a situation she brought upon herself.

An interesting premise,the challenges for which developed in interesting ways. However, it went on and on and on and on regarding the challenges, the pain, the relationships, etc., and certain points were made several times, repetitively. Ugh. I skipped a whole chunk of the middle and read through the final portion only because I was mildly curious how it ended. But even that began to feel like a chore, and I almost DNF'd 20 pages before the end. The writing wasn't even all that great.

An interesting read, but too long. I didn't realize it was fantasy until I'd gotten into the story. The story takes place over a span of 300 years and ties in a little history just to give context to the character's life. It was definitely fun, but again, a bit too much length to get to the point. With that said, the writing was good.
