Don't pray to the Old Gods after dark. A warning that Addie didn't heed (I don't think that's a spoiler), and set herself on a path she hadn't anticipated. This book took a little while to get going, then became really interesting, and finished a little disappointingly, I thought. But the bit in the middle is worth reading it for, and what an interesting premise to play with- Addie learns creative ways around her dilemma.

I have very lukewarm feelings about this. I was just never drawn into the story.
This book has an Interesting premise and is beautifully written, but I found Addie’s life so unpleasant that it was hard to keep picking it up . I’ve never read such a bleak portrayal of an immortality plot.
