wow. i have no words.

after how much i loved daisy jones and the six, i was nervous about how this would compare BUT this was even better!

i love how the format allowed for them to really develop and explore the story in more detail. i loved the way TJR wove both evelyn's story and monique's life together. i like how you know off the bat that evelyn isn't a likeable character but she has enough complexity and depth that really makes your root for her and scream at her at the same time.

The final chapters changed this into a four star read for me. It rolled into a mix of love, forgiveness, compassion, mercy, and a desire to leave this life telling your own story. Evelyn Hugo, actress, spends much of her life accumulating fame and fortune at the expense of others. The realization that one’s true life accomplishment is family makes all the difference.
