I loved it. I knew right from the beginning it was going to be good and I was right, it was very good. It had much more than I was expecting.

I thought it was a reasonably interesting story, but not cool with a straight white lady telling stories of queer and Black people. TJR has said she’ll be amplifying the stories those people tell going forward, instead of telling them herself.

I also thought the foreshadowing that a big bad thing was to come was a bit much. We get it, something crummy is coming but not until the last 10% of the book.
