I can't believe I didn't know anything about this book, beyond it being a prize winner. I had never read it. It had never been recommended to me. This book is really good. I just don't have the words to explain how great this book was for me to read.

I really don't want to give too much away because I think not knowing anything made the book better for me. It's a book about strong women, friendship, and the struggles in love and faith. Celie grows so much throughout the novel. Since the book is w ...more
