I wanted to love this book. So many people have recommended it to me as such a classic, fantastic love story, but, like Wuthering Heights, I just don't get it. The writing is beautifully detailed by the characters are awful, Ariza is truly awful, and this is not my idea of a sweeping love affair.

Well... He could have easily cut 1/3 of the book... I read the last parts with "Why doesn't this ever end..." in my head. But I loved the ending :-D Unexpected, lovely, made me happy :-)
