It was fun to go back and re-read this novel, especially after seeing the movie. It's such a short book and I can't believe how many extra action scenes the films have added that were not in the novel. They seriously turned the one book into a trilogy of films. Still, it's a wonderful story and I'm looking forward to reading The Lord of the Rings trilogy as well :-) ...more
