This one kept me guessing, and I didn't expect the ending. Can't say I really liked the ending, though. I found neither of the main characters likeable, but the plot was so intriguing, and I liked the way it was told from two different viewpoints. I've got to read more by this author. As the book begins, I was so intrigued and drawn into the mystery of what had happened on the day this novel opened. I could hardly wait to read each successive chapter. Then as the story unfolded I became less eager. In the end I still enjoyed the book, with its twists and turns, some predictable, some tedious. I would still recommend the book, though some of the characters are annoying. Actually, I guess that's how real people are, too. ...more

This book was an intense read, but the main characters were hateful and the ending was creepy. Also, the narrative voices were way too similar. Still, a good mystery and interesting story...just too vulgar for my liking. The author needs to take a page from Ayn Rand about poisonous love!
