What Members Thought
I loved this book for the most part. Her persistence in being alone became a bit tiresome towards the end - like I get it, she wants to be alone. All in all it was an enjoyable time with the story and I would recommend.
The definition of unputdownable! Great, strong characters, intoxicating descriptions, a bit of romance, a bit of mystery, some courtroom drama- stir, mix, and done! Loved this from beginning to end- and with the added intrigue of the author’s background, there is a dimension added to this incredible story of a strong willed girl who makes the most of her world!
Knowing that as you close a book that it’s among the best you’ve read in a long time is a great feeling. I only wish I didn’t read it in the ebook format so I could close it.
A lovely book with beautiful writing. I enjoyed the way the writer constructed the story and how and when certain details were revealed. I also enjoyed the way she blended elements of the natural world into the story. Beautiful.
It occasionally dwelled a bit too much on a few elements of the story in ways that seemed inconsistent for the protaganist.
Overall, a fun read. Maybe not my type of book.

I was expecting something more than what seems to me essentially a tragic romance story that ends happily. I did not buy any part of the ending.
Exquisitely written. It makes you yearn to step into the landscape and be one with it.
