I had forgotten how much I had enjoyed mythological stories as a YA. I was gifted this read by my YA daughter & it has helped renew this genre for me !
I’m on to the next one already!
Great complex story of a lessor god trying to make her way in more than one world. The writing style was well paced , the build up of characters was easy to follow without getting lost in the book & her description of the settings on various backdrop scenes really helped you visualize the world around Circe .

The writing style was well paced , the build up of characters was easy to follow without getting lost in the book & her description of the settings on various backdrop scenes really helped you visualize the world around Circe .
I have some knowledge of Greek mythology but I wasn't too familiar with Circe's story. The book did drag a bit in places, but overall I really enjoyed it. When Circe became a mother, it felt very real to me, I remember walking up and down the halls with a baby who couldn't be calmed no matter what you did. And then to have a child who couldn't stop moving and never felt calm as they grew up. It all was very relatable in my own journey through motherhood.
