Me encantó! Me encanta que aparezcan tantos personajes conocidos de la mitología! Me hace sentir la historia muy cerquita de mi. Personalmente no conocía la historia de Circe, por lo que no sabía que iba a pasar pero en definitiva no decepciona. Amo la evolución y madurez que va obteniendo a través de su vida, los cambios en su historia, la cercanía con los dioses y su curiosidad por los humanos. The story of Circe, the Greek goddess of magic, told from the perspective of Circe. One of the things the Circe can do very well is to transform her enemies into animals. In Homer's Odyssey, Circe transforms Odysseus' crew into pigs. Why? Oh, because they deserved it.

Shelves: considering-rereading

Before I started this, I tried to look up whether you should read The Odyssey first, and the answer was no.

I disagree.

The cast of characters is just too complex without knowing the underlying story (in my opinion).

I think I will need to re-read this before I give it a rating. Right now, I'm not really understanding the hype, but perhaps it will be better on the second go-around. ...more
