I love this Indonesian edition cover more than the others.

This is an adult novel about rich families in Singapore. Binds by the biggest wedding event to come, the novel tells us love story of Nick Young and Rachel Chu, a megarich handsome man and a modest smart woman. Somehow this reminds me of a typical Cinderella story, with a modern and more realistic twist. Crazy expensive things, crazy huge properties and crazy actions filled pages of this novel. Very fun read. Glad I received an explanation of the title. I read half in kindle and half in audio. Surprisingly, I sort of liked the regular reading better but the narrator did a nice job.

Synopsis: Young Asian couple in New York take their summer holiday in Singapore where the boy is from. The girl is shocked when the world of wealth her boyfriend grew up in is revealed. One of the morals developed in telling the tale is a lot of money corrupts a lot of people but not everybody.

Crazy Rich Asians opened my eyes to a world that I will most likely never see. It was an interesting glimpse into the lives of some of the richest people on the planet and a good mix of traditions, both those of the Asian culture and that of the extremely wealthy. I found myself thinking of Richard and Emily Gilmore a couple of times.
