I almost never re-read #books, but this week I revisited a novel I read, loved, and enthusiastically recommended for many years. It holds up! And I had misrembered some key points, so that made the experience even better. Perfect #audio performance (Lynn Redgrave!)

I enjoyed this book - easy to get into, kept me interested - mysterious and fun to read at bedtime each night. The characters developed slowly and the writer's use of descriptive adjectives is just enough to leave something to your imagination- which I like.
I really enjoy books about the Yorkshire area of England and this book, being set in that environment didn't disappoint.
