What Members Thought

3.5 stars with the audiobook narration by Michael C. Hall bringing it up to 4 stars.
There is a reason everyone has seen the movie and few have read the book; the language is dated (sometimes in ugly ways—there are a few racist or anti-Semitic terms among other now-offensive terms) and at times crass. But it was a pleasure to meet the original Holly Golightly. Audrey Hepburn really did a masterful job in the film.
For mature readers only.

For the first half I was wondering what the book was even about. But somehow I was still interested in what I was reading. Now that I've finished it, I'm still not sure what the book was about. Maybe I'm just not "deep" enough.
