When I was reading this book for myself, it was a fun read. On rereading it with my 7 year old, I was less impressed with the stereotypes and chosen dialogue of the book. Of course, he enjoyed it, so maybe that's the better review. Of course, "shut up" has now entered his vocabulary as well (though we talked about how it would be better to us different words, depending on the circumstances and to whom one is speaking). ...more
