How do you review a book that has been hailed as brilliant and helping to change English literature by so many? First up, confess that I merely read it. I didn't take postgrad classes in it, or even understand what was going on in world literature at the time it was written....and it's not the best book I have read.
It's not particularly interesting, and I didn't like the characters. They seem a bunch of moaning, self-interested people who drink excessively and who have nothing better to do than ...more
