Actually less racist and sexist then I was expecting. I didn't really like it, but it's meant to appeal to little boys, so that isn't really surprising. The final chapter is seriously depressing. And I don't care what Barrie thinks, dogs do have souls.

Was anyone else kinda bummed out by the ending?
Excellent book for both children and adults. Originally published in 1911 as *Peter and Wendy*, it depicts Peter Pan, "the boy who wouldn't grow up", as a mischievous half-human child, half-fairy who never had parents and who never remembers. His fairy companion Tinker Bell isn't as nice as depicted in Disney. More anon...

I just could not get into Peter Pan. I think I've seen the movie adaptations too many times to truly enjoy this.
