What Members Thought
This book is powerful conceptually than as a read (or reread in this case).
I thought I would like this more. I found it pretty disturbing but also sort of boring in parts. I found myself skimming through some of the pages long descriptions of the island, trees, etc., and I rarely do that while reading. My 12 year old just starting reading this and I am a little worried it won't hold his attention until the end. Maybe it was just the wrong time for me to read this & if I give it another try in a few months or years I may enjoy it more. But, then again, maybe it isn't me
