Awesome read! Can't wait to start Royal Assassin. This is the first book of Robin Hobb's that I have read and is one of my favourite authors already! I love her writing and world building. The character development in this book is just too good. I love Fitz and can't wait to follow him on his life journey.

The first 150 pages I read over a year ago and I remember enjoying but for some reason I put it down and had no drive to pick this back up but when I did a couple of months after that I had no memory of anything and so put it back down. I then because of a read-a-long (https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...) pushed myself to start this again. I enjoyed the 150 pages a little but more this time around but after that I fell in LOVE with this book it just got so damn good!!

I have always been intimidated by epic fantasy, but based on the recommendation of Sam from the Sam's Nonsense YouTube channel, I decided to give this book a shot. I am so thankful I did. It took a little while to get into the book, but by the end I was invested in the story and rooting for the protagonist, Fitz. I think this was a great place to start for epic fantasy.
