Habe etwas Zeit gebraucht, mich in die Welt einzulesen - hat mir dann aber richtig gut gefallen! Der Epilog hat dann noch für ein bisschen "hm..."-nachdenk-gefühle gesorgt, aber weiterlesen werde ich wohl trotzdem! :) Übrigens: Letztes Abenteuer-Buch, das mir ähnlich gefallen hat, war wohl der Name des Windes... :) ...more

Listened to audio book for most of Saturday while doing my house work, laundry etc. I hastened the speed a bit tho. Guy was drawing out his words way too much. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable listen that had me captivated from the first few pages.

The MC's are really well developed. The story is told from 1st person POV and it was done extremely well. Gonna get started on the next book ASAP. Gotta know about the Forging ...more

Eu amei o primeiro livro dessa série e adorei ter conhecido o Fitz. O modo como ele notava o mundo e as pessoas ao seu redor... gostei principalmente do início do livro, quando ele era criança. Nessa parte não acontecem muitas coisas, enquanto no final é uma revelação atrás da outra. Fiquei muito aflita pelas personagens, por isso, me diverti mais com os capítulos mais calmos.
Também adorei a Manha, e o modo como o Fitz se relacionava com os animais, e os cachorrinhos dele... Outra coisa no livro ...more

i actually really liked this, but i'm not giving it more stars because i think it's a story that could've been told in far fewer pages. at times i felt there was a lot of telling and little showing in the narration and that made me skimmed through some pages. that said, it is still wonderfully written and full of compelling characters i fell in love with, and i'm definitely continuing the trilogy <3 ...more
