A governor's race and murder mystery in 1978 isn't the norm for my genre reading coziness, but this one became quite cozy as I rushed through to the end to find the killer. Strong use of the time period in setting and character was enhanced as we felt the main character's pressures from society and family in his attempt to balance winning an election while solving the mystery of a lost loved one.
