Oh, how I loved this book! Over the past few weeks, I've been hearing so many great things about it, so I was very excited to receive an ARC in my Illumicrate box:) I decided to pick it up right away and I can only urge you to do the same, because it's so good! Here’s the thing: I rarely give a book 1 star.
Is that a sign of a problematic rating system? Maybe. But there’s usually at least one thing in a book that saves it from descending into 1-star territory – be it a character, or a subplot, or a single piece of dialogue that’s enough for me to say, “huh. It doesn’t work for me, and I’ll never reread it, but at least there’s some aspect to it to warrant being deemed it was okay.”
