I went into this having no idea what it was about. Needless to say after the first chapter I was horrified and fascinated all at once.
The prose, the structure, the allegories, the connections were all masterfully done. I was blown away by the writing. I can see why it's in the canon, and a must read for everyone.
I would have given it 5 stars except, well...
