What Members Thought
There was definitely a lot of hype going into this, so I approached reading it with a wary eye. However I was happy to find I enjoyed it. I wasn't blown away, but I felt Kerouac did a splendid job of capturing Americana. My only complaint would be the way woman and poc were portrayed. Granted it was written from the POV of a privileged white man in the 40s, but there could have been at least one female with a real voice in there.
