Review from second reading: The first time I read The Republic was a small epoch in my life. It frustrated and excited me to giddiness. It still does. I suspect I'll say the same the third and fourth times I read it, too.
Also, I know I am a pretentious person who mentions Plato way too much, but he really is so laugh-out loud-funny quite often. Rereading the text allows one to be more comfortable with its humour.
