Well: the first TWEM book bites the dust. I got halfway through, but I’ve just decided I can’t do it. There are too many books to read, and Herodotus’s meandering ways make it oh so difficult to keep things sorted in one’s head.
When I embarked on Susan Wise Bauer’s The Well-Educated Mind journey, I had imagined I’d read every single one. I don’t see that happening anymore...unless I decide to give Herodotus another whirl sometime in the future. We’ll see. Maybe... :-P
