[close] A must read! Yes, the topic is alzheimers and yes, it can be a bit sad or emotional, especially if you've lived through or are currently in the situation. But, what what I found enthralling is how the author told the story through the main character who is diagnosed at a very early age. Seeing it through Alice's eyes helped me understand what it's like for people with the illness, or any illness. It puts humanity at the forefront of a devastating disease. It's interesting to see how others in the story deal with Alice and I found it to be a very real example of what happens in everyday life. Great book discussion book. Great for understanding and gaining compassion for others.
