"It was impossible of course. But when did that ever stop any dreamers from dreaming."

This is my first Laini Taylor book and it did not disappoint. I absolutely loved this book. The story and the characters are so captivating and lively. The story builds and grows and the characters exist and interact with each other organically. I can’t even convey how beautiful this story actually is. It’s really mesmerizing and whimsical in the best possible way.

Well that certainly ended on a high note...

I enjoyed this book, I really did. I loved Lazlo and Taylor's writing and the story itself. However, the pacing was a tad slow and I felt like you probably could've cut 100 pages from this book and it would've been just as good, maybe even better. I'm really glad that Taylor decided to turn this one into a duology and I really hope that the sequel is much more action packed. I've got high hopes!

I did take awhile to read this book, but it wasn't due to the book but due to life. I really enjoyed the world that was built by the author. I also enjoyed the characters.

Loved this reread. Lazlo remains a favorite and I really grew to like Sarai more this time too. The writing was still stunning and I'm ready to finally read Muse of Nightmares!
