Shelves: own-copy, fantasy

I heard a lot about this book and how great it supposedly should be. That always makes me very sceptical when I start reading it myself. Nevertheless, it DID turn out to be a great book; Patrick Rothfuss is a good storyteller and can smoothly blend different storylines together.
It started out as a supernatural/horror story and before I knew it, it turned into a Harry Potter kind of atmosphere. Way different though, although it's easy to draw comparisons when it comes to schools for magic.

I've always wanted to be a writer. I love books so much I just can't imagine anything more fulfilling than getting your ideas onto paper, publishing them, and having them loved by millions. Naive, I know. I had a conversation with my daughter a couple of days ago. She is becoming quite the bookworm herself. After a trip to the library she asked if I would like to write books.
