This was honestly just a weird read for me. I really liked the book, and I thought the writing was so good, but I did find it really hard to read and so slow to get through. Not that the story was particularly slow but it was not a book that I could just casually read, it required my undivided attention to really appreciate it.

Review coming soon.

How do I begin to talk about this enchanting (there really is no word to describe it, thanks Robin Hobb) story? For a long time now, I've only heard high praise for Naomi Novik's Uprooted and each time I did, the book went further and further up my reading list. When I finally read it last week, it was exactly the kind of book I was looking for. I've been wanting to read more fantasy for awhile, and though I have a number of series I want to get stuck into, I am only reading library books right

I just couldn't get into this book as much as I tried. The first couple of chapters I thought it was going to be good, but as I continued I just pushed myself through the rest. The magic system didn't make any sense. It was just like they were saying sifjoierewurolsefj all the time. And I wan't to throw the book across the room every time the dragon spoke....treat women like shit much??

Well, that was just beautiful.
