After reading and enjoying Rainbow Rowell's two young adult offerings last year, I was concerned that her latest offering Landline might not live up expectations. The good news is that Landline shows Rowell once again at the top of her game as she was with Eleanor and Park even if the novel doesn't quite hit the stratospheric heights that Fangirl did.*

This book blew my mind. I started it and literally could not put it down. Sorry hubby and littles.. it overwhelmed me.

Our MC is on the verge of divorce from her husband after he gets to the end of his tether with her putting her job before family and so he goes to visit his family for Christmas leaving her there. She finds a phone that magically allows her to speak to her husband in the past before they were married with kids and this helps her think about where she wants her life to go.
