While I felt the first 3/4 of this book was a little slow and nothing was really happening, I could not put it down! I mean I just finished a 400 page book in less than 24 hours so I mean, it had to do something right, right?!

Who doesn’t love a book about witches? I really enjoy books about witches, maybe it all started with my love of Hocus Pocus way back when…
This book follows a young man named Nathan. He is neither white witch or black witch, they call him half blood. His mother was a white witch and his father is a black witch. I'd heard a lot of hype about this book but also not a lot of hype at the same time and I really wasn't sure what to expect.
Nathan is half black witch half white witch. His dad is Marcus, the most feared black witch to exist and this makes him basically a black witch in the eyes of the white witch government. While I felt the premise was engaging, I felt the execution wasn't. While Nathan was a good protagonist. The same can't be said about the other supporting characters.
