What Members Thought

Return of the King is one of my favorite books of all time, and for good reason. This reread left me so emotional, highlighting many sections, and just really appreciating Tolkien's prose, his characterization, and the influences on his work. There's really not more I can say other than this is an incredible book!

Although it's been many years since I've read this book, I'm thinking about re-reading it. We watch the extended version of the Peter Jackson movies every year and I love them!

Rather than try to write a review of this final volume of the Lord of the Rings, I will just list some of my favorite quotes:

Third part of Lord of the Rings classic. Tolkien's book five includes Grey Company, Siege of Gondor, Paths of the Dead, Pelennor Fields battle, Farimar/Eowyn, Black Gate. The six book includes Cirith Ungol, Mount Doom, Return of the King, Sharkey, Battle of Bywater.
