okay so this book was not what i expected. I fully expected to go into it and love it and have it as one of my favourite books of all time, yet it fell so short of expectations that i feel i built it up too much.
It started off so boring and slow i wanted to DNF it. The plot and characters were all so meh, and the writing style really wasn't working for me. But i feel this book's main issue is it's pacing, because it really was all over the place. After a while i got

I tried. I really did. But halfway through this book (Chapter 51) I was still bored. Maybe I’ll come back to it someday, but for now I’ve got a growing TBR pile begging to be whittled down.

The story of Kvothe is an incredible adventure! I absolutely loved the story! The writing was beautiful and the entire world very interesting. The book is a bit slow paced, or at least demands a lot of time and energy. It has taken a long time for me to read so that was a bit frustrating.. But overall an amazing book <3
