okay so this book was not what i expected. I fully expected to go into it and love it and have it as one of my favourite books of all time, yet it fell so short of expectations that i feel i built it up too much.
It started off so boring and slow i wanted to DNF it. The plot and characters were all so meh, and the writing style really wasn't working for me. But i feel this book's main issue is it's pacing, because it really was all over the place. After a while i got ...more

The Name of the Wind is the story of the fiery Kvothe, and his overdue return to glory, as he recounts the legendary events of his past. This was an excellent novel; epic in it's scope, and masterful in it's storytelling. It felt very much like the start of something big ...more

The story of Kvothe is an incredible adventure! I absolutely loved the story! The writing was beautiful and the entire world very interesting. The book is a bit slow paced, or at least demands a lot of time and energy. It has taken a long time for me to read so that was a bit frustrating.. But overall an amazing book <3
