Sybil aka Lala
Last night I met this guy. His name is Ash. He’s beautiful. He has a sweet soul and so much pride. It’s not what you think. LOL, I’m serious. Look, he’s in love with someone else. OK. Let me start from the beginning.

So last night I met this guy and he told me his story. He’s from Slovenia and he came to Las Vegas to be a dancer. He was born to dance and after his dance partner left him, he found an advert for a job as a dancer. So he applied and got on the next plane over. He thought that all of

I was pleasantly surprised by Slave to the Rhythm... I had no idea what to expect going in, all the teasers I had seen had sparked my interest but the blurb is quite vague and the first 6 words of it are confusing to say the least, but now I’ve read it I totally get it, going in blind intensified my reaction to the story to the point where I was probably just as surprised by the twists and turns as the characters were, I want everyone to have the same experience that I had whilst reading so I’

Slave to the Rhythm by Jane Harvey-Berrick

Designation: Standalone with a HEA

Not sure how I feel about this one. There were almost three separate story phases in this one.

We first meet Ash when he is relocating to Las Vegas to be a dancer, but it turns out to be a trap where his identification is taken and he and those around him are threatened with harm. He does not like what he has to do to survive and it gives him nightmares that last throughout the book.

We also meet Laney who is disabled and

Such a powerful story of strength, love and courage!!
Loved the way these two came together.
How much can a person give and return until you find love is the answer to everything.
This book is hard but it really makes you find out about sacrifice and love.

I had a hard time getting into this in the beginning, but once I finally did I couldn't put it down. I truly did not want to see this book end, and would love to see a future with Ash and Laney. ...more

We all know I’m a Part-time stalker of Jane’s, so it’s probably not a huge surprise I loved this book.
I’ve never taken an interest in Dancers but the way Jane told Ash and Laney’s story has ruined me for the rest. This is much darker than Jane’s other work; it touches on some very touchy subjects and details some hard scenes for some to read. (The darker areas are, human trafficking and forced oral)
Laney and Ash’s story is an intriguing one. They meet in Vegas (know you know

Slave To The Rhythm by Jane Harvey-Berrick

5 perfectly written stars

This was one hell of a read, one beautifully and perfectly written piece of literature.

This author rarely disappoints me. She's on my go to list, my without a need to know the synopsis list. But I'll be honest and confess I did read the synopsis on this occasion. I was immediately intrigued and loved that Jane was writing something darker.

Although it possibly wasn't as dark as I'd expected, I certainly wasn't disappointed. Far f

ONE OF THE BEST BOOK I've read this year.

Full review to come shortly, I'm still unable to write it as, as soon as I think about it I fall into the story, the music, the dance again. This was so beautifully and realistically pictured.

6 Stars for this amazing story!

Ash is a dancer and goes to America to chase his dreams.. sadly he trusted the wrong people and dreams becomes nightmares!
He meets other people during this people and he becomes friends with them.
Laney is living a life that's not her own.. tightly controlled and always looked down to..Until she meets Ash.
A chance meeting then a more cruel situation brings them together..And that's where the story changes for them both!
It's a ride for sure..And it's sad, heartbreaking, dark..but there's friendshi

This book was so beautiful! I absolutely love the story. It was real and raw and intriguing. I could not put it down. I read this in one sitting. With the angst, and drama, and love and suspense, it kept me on my toes. This was my first book to read by Jane, but will not be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.

If I didn't like the writing style so much, I'm not sure I would have read the whole story. But Jane's writing is so good in this one, that I sort of ignored my not loving the storyline ... :)

Ash is amazingly strong. As is Laney. Their story can be heartbreaking if you allow it to be.
