fulfilling my 2020 goal to read (at least) one book each month that i bought in hardcover and put off reading long enough that it is now in paperback.

i have not written a drunk book review in a long time, because i barely ever drink anymore, but what else are you gonna do during quarantine, yeah? bring on ONE HUNDRED BEERS OF SOLITUDE!!!

mmkay, so this is the third book i have read from these two authors and i have two things to say about ‘em:

Oh whoa! Everything I’d thought…Well, there was a part toward the end I thought didn’t quite work but the end worked perfectly and took me by surprise but it should not have, and I realized right away that yes it did make sense. It all made sense. It was very smartly done!

So, I flew through this book. It was the right book for me at this time. When I find the right book I can read easily and (for me) quickly. Of course, tomorrow I’ll be playing catch up with IRL things I neglected to do the last

I absolutely NEED to read what Ms Pekkanen writes. (need to get a copy of their first book).

I knew better than to start this book at dawn on a Sunday, but what else was I to do? I fired up the kindle and read.....and read...and was like oh my THIS BOOK! Grabbed me from the beginning and never let me go!

At times I thought I had it figured out and then no, wham another twist, wrong again!

I thoroughly enjoyed this, page-turner.

If u love fast paced psychological thrillers then RUN to the bookstore o

Is it ethical to remove one star if you don’t appreciate the ending?

I am surprised this book has such a high rating. I was completely disappointed. From the get go, I knew what the book was all about. It was predictable. There was no suspense or twists and turns. The characters were not likeable. The hidden truths were obvious and nothing that couldn't be forgiven. Unfortunately, I have a compulsion to finish books so I had 11 hours of hoping it would get better. And it never did. It would seem I'm in the minority but I would skip this! ...more
