What Members Thought
I love Katie Fforde but this read as a tired retread of earlier/better books, with tired and cliched characters. Moreover, if there had been one more mention of Jo's preoccupation with menopause I would have tossed the book across the room. Maybe Fforde thinks her audience is all of a certain age and shares these concerns but it does not mesh with escapist fiction.

Not the best book I ever read by a long shot. I picked it up at the free library at my aunt's condo in Longboat Key so I'd have an extra book for the plane. Can't really say its worth getting, but its moving along alright.
