Good, twisty story
Contrived and rushed at the end.
3.5 stars.
Can murder mysteries be beach reads? Kind of gripping and easy to read but totally forgettable.
The opening is super dark, major trigger alert for child abuse.

4.5 stars. Nothing like a good mystery to keep you up reading night after night.
Overall, I loved this book. It was well-written, didn’t waste a ton of time on unnecessary details, and was captivating. I loved the overall short chapters and multiple perspectives. It kept it moving, and kept it interesting. Though it wasn’t overly detailed, the author described enough that there were several moments throughout that either enraged me, or tore my heart.
