Fun, but ... turns out Harris's Lily Bard mysteries are no where near as good as the Sookie Stackhouse & Harper Connelly mysteries.

Didn't even seem like Charlaine Harris! One of the things I like so much about her books is that they have sort of an underlying sense of humor, at least to me. This was dark and depressing. Glad she got better after this snooze fest!

I'm enjoying the series. Lily Bard is a complicated and compelling protagonist and the mysteries are complicated enough to be enjoyable.
