So, it appears I am one of the last women in America to read Jojo Moyes, and I probably wouldn't even have read this book if my mother hadn't had a copy. This is, essentially, The Fault in Our Stars for adults and I won't bother with a summary because there are about ten thousand out there. And while I see that it would be quite popular for those who enjoy books shelved under the horrible "women's fiction" genre, I felt about it the same way I feel about most romantic comedies and romantic balla

Still reeling over this one... a beautiful story with 100% lovable characters. HIGHLY recommend. That being said, I find it interesting to read what the main complaints of the those who rated the book lowly.
Mainly, readers who didn't like the book were upset that Louisa, the MC, didn't believe in herself until a MAN told she was worth it, and that....

I believe this reading experience suffered from "over-hype." While Moyes' writing was fluid and engaging, I didn't feel the need to pull out the prophesied tissue box promised by nearly every reviewer who was so moved by this book. Lou was a great person to read about- her energy and perseverance were admirable and I enjoyed her sense of humor. As as an account of the life of a person stuffing from severe paralysis, this story provided me with amazing insight into the trials such a person faces

Saying I cried at the end of this book is an understatement but, dont' let that stop you from reading it. I loved every page and didn't want it to end.

I know people love this book but I hated it. I couldn't get past the fact that it was basically saying that if you are disabled your life isn't worth living. I read the whole book and even though I think the author is talented I find her message to be terrible.

This is not the sort of book I would have normally picked up to read. It was an ARC that got lost in the shuffle, and I needed something to read at bedtime. That said, I really liked it a lot. The characters were quirky and believable, the pain was real, and I cried more than once. I look forward to reading more from this author.
