This is one of the best books I've read in a while; one that made me go to bed late, fight sleep, and get up early to finish it.

Loved Moyes' Last Letter to Your Lover but this did not sound at all like the kind of book I would like at all, not being a fan of sappy/inspirational books. But I loved it.

I believe this reading experience suffered from "over-hype." While Moyes' writing was fluid and engaging, I didn't feel the need to pull out the prophesied tissue box promised by nearly every reviewer who was so moved by this book. Lou was a great person to read about- her energy and perseverance were admirable and I enjoyed her sense of humor. As as an account of the life of a person stuffing from severe paralysis, this story provided me with amazing insight into the trials such a person faces

Saying I cried at the end of this book is an understatement but, dont' let that stop you from reading it. I loved every page and didn't want it to end.

I know people love this book but I hated it. I couldn't get past the fact that it was basically saying that if you are disabled your life isn't worth living. I read the whole book and even though I think the author is talented I find her message to be terrible.

Just like "The Last Letter from Your Lover," I started this once before and didn't finish it. I'm glad I persevered this time. It's compelling and extremely well-written; I credit Libby for convincing me to give it another try.
