I heard the author speak about this book at the NELA conference last month, although I had heard about the book before this (it was a Newbery Award winner, and the cover is very eye-catching). Cynthia was a great speaker and I loved hearing about the process the book went through to get published.

I enjoyed this one so much more than expected. I liked how this dealt with the complexities of the main character's relationship with characters who aren't "normal." This is a quick read with a lot of emotional punch. I'm hoping to recommend this one to a lot of kids at the library, since I think it will resonate with them.

This book was amazing. It's about a girl with an Autistic brother, and how she deals with life with him. It's also about her relationship with someone she meets at his Occupational Clinic. In any case, it was a super good find, and I would definetly recommend it to anyone.
