I had a memory of this book, which I had conflated with Eyes of the Amaryllis. And I swear that this book was made into some kind of made-for-TV movie. Now that I've gotten a copy and read it, I can't remember if I had read it before or just seen it around. The pictures were more familiar than the story itself. The brain is a weird, wonderful place!

This is another book that I read repeatedly as a kid. I got it through one of those school book orders.
If I remember correctly the young girl who is the main character lived alone with her mom. Where was her dad? Dead, I think. The mom only did good things, healing people and such, but I think she used herbs and other plants, making some people look at her suspiciously.
I do remember that I liked it a lot and read it a lot. I wonder if my sister has my copy of this book.
