Hall of Blood and Mercy was the first series I ever read by K.M. Shea and I loved it so I had high hopes for the Court of Midnight and Deception series since it takes place in the same world. It was a great fast paced urban fantasy book that had just the right amount of romance thrown in. I did not like it quite as much as Hall of Blood and Mercy but it was still quite good once you got into it. The humor element was really fun and broke up the somewhat dark and dramatic storyline. Quick and easy to read, with a clean romance so slow burn that it hasn’t even really begun.
I don’t usually like far settings but I liked this. Would recommend.
