Another book about what it's like to be a young teen, in love and making it through school. Problem is, this isn't really contemporary (the author's "writing what she knows", which in this case is a time before e-mail and cell phones and IM; a heroine that writes letters to a guy just isn't going to seem real to today's students). The ending was a little rushed and muddy as well. With a little updating, this could have been a much better book.
