A great read, will recommend this series to early readers. This book in particular wraps up many questions I had from the earlier books very neatly. There was a surprise at the end that I felt was a tad out of left field, but it jived enough with the story that I was able to accept it and still end the series a very happy reader.

It wasn't as good maybe as the first two since the formula was pretty much the same -- there's a problem, Lina and Doon do something brave/reckless to help out and solve it, life is better. I still like the characters enough to care about it even when the plot is somewhat thin. ...more

I traced to get through this book and it wasn't as exciting as the others. I did love the series though. highly recommended for grades 6 and up especially for fans of other dystopias like "The Giver." ...more
