Diddle Daddle Duckling is a working class hero!
I love that the book comes out right on the first page and says that Diddle Daddle and his mother and seven little brothers and sisters are poor. (No mention of where the deadbeat dad drake is off to!) I love that Diddle Daddle's sweater is patched! I love that Diddle Daddle went out and got himself a job at Puddle Duck's Garage.
To this day, if anyone in my immediate family (me, sis, dad, mom) get new employment, we will call the others and sing "I' ...more
