The theme of this fluffy little book is that it's not easy to wait until you're old enough to do various things. Poor Bonnie thinks she is old enough, at age 4, to do everything he older sisters and brother do. Will she ever catch up to them? The story takes place between her 4th and 5th birthdays. It's a pleasant rural tale--seems to take place around the turn of the century. A nice read for a 2nd or 3rd grader.
